African Fashion Week London was created in 2011, and six catwalks were presented to the public since then. On the 11th and 12th of August 2017, from 12:00pm to 9:00pm, London will host again this event for the seventh time.

This Fashion week will take place in the Grand Hall at the Freemasons, it is a platform for African-inspired designers to show their creativity and allow people to have access to a complete new design and culture. Visitors will be able to peruse and purchase stunning pieces from handpicked designers and brands as well as experience fashion on the catwalk with designers from all over the African continent.

This year's edition will feature designers from Ghana, Togo, Kenya, South Africa, Congo, Tanzania, Mozambique, Senegal, Uganda, and Cameroon & Nigeria and more. This Fashion Week London will be the biggest yet, with up to 60 catwalk shows and daily exhibitions

African’s fashion had been a long time concealed. This event gives the opportunities to African’s designers to show and to present their works. It is also the occasion for the world and other countries to view and discover their authentic sense of fashion-art. This Fashion Week sheds a light on African’s fashion, arts and culture. Their typical design and colour bring people to the heart of the African continent.

“Africa Fashion Week London was born out of a passion and desire for change, to provide a much needed platform for emerging and established designers to showcase African-inspired fashion to the world.” Creativity and talent should always be shared but being able to include your culture in there it is always more enchanting.
