On April 10, the Italian Institute of Culture had the pleasure to present a conference in the event of the 4th edition of the Architecture Biennial Exhibition Barbara Cappochin.

The Barbara Cappochin International Prize and its exhibition are held every two years in the city of Padua. The 2017 edition, in the form of a traveling exhibition, was available from Friday 7th to Friday 14th of April at the ASJ exhibition space in Tokyo.

The central thread of this conference is the mutual understanding of opposite cultures. The artists showed how architecture could unite different places, countries, people but also the past with the future.

The Italian Institute involved many esteemed artists that work internationally in order to give their own point of view and participate to the discussion. The debate was divided into 3 main parts that included one panelist each. The first participant was Francisco Leiva Ivvora, who won the Barbara Cappochin prize in 2015. Moreover, Aihara Madoka, mention of honor in 2015, and Konishi Hikohito, who won this International architectural prize in 2009, followed Ivvora’s speech.

At the end of the Conference, the architect Giuseppe Cappochin, whom is the president of the foundation with his own name and the main organizer of this prize, announced the date and details regarding the next edition of this esteemed event.
