The US Department of State, together with its implementing partner, Partners for the Americas, announced the recipients of the 2016 Capacity Building Grants for U.S. Undergraduate Study Abroad, including eighteen US institutions of higher education.

These institutions will receive up to $50.000 in order to increase and diversify participation of their students in the study abroad program. This money should help the schools’ capacity to develop and maintain strong international partnerships in different countries and fields of study.

This should help American students studying abroad gain new experience and knowledge, and equip them with the skills necessary to work in different workplaces, communities and educational institutions, as well as explore new countries and experience their cultures firsthand.
