Biography

Ambassador Jongopie Siaka Stevens was born on 10 June 1950, earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Cambridge College of Arts and Technology in England, and a diploma in the field of electro-medical equipment and electrical laboratory equipment at the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. He was for many years as an engineer for medical electronics in the Ministry of Health and Medical Services in Sierra Leone, most recently as senior chief engineer. He speaks English.
