"Integrated Industry - Discover Solutions”

Digitalization of Factories and US Beer at the Hannover Fair 2016

April 21st, 2016

World renowned industries gathered together in the Hannover Fair in Germany on April 25 - 29, 2016. This year’s theme of the event is “Integrated Industry - Discover Solutions.” Hannover Messe, as it is known in German, is the largest industrial trade fair in the world. Visitors from the manufacturing industries familiarized themselves with the Industry 4.0, the digitalization of factories and energy systems. In recent years Hannover air has pioneered in the Industry 4.0 era. The fair drew over 6,500 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors in four days. The event was organized by Deutsche Messe.

This year’s Partner Country is the USA and the Western partner will offer a treat for the visitors of the fair. More than 13,000 bottles of Charlotte-brewed beer were shipped over Atlantic Ocean to Germany to introduce Charlotte Region to the world. The Charlotte Regional Partnership and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina announced they will lead a delegation of more than 20 people representing private companies and public-sector organizations to this year’s Hannover Fair. The president of Charlotte Chamber, Bob Morgan, said that the beer would be good conversation starter.

The contribution of United States does not end with the beverage. Leading U.S. companies will demonstrate their solutions for Integrated Industry. Addition to this, the U.S.-based Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) will also be there at the special display area. All of the key players in industrial digitalization gather in Hannover: German companies with mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, including Siemens and Bosch, leading U.S. software providers, and companies from China and Japan. The aim is to create new partnerships, ideas and solutions along the way to Industry 4.0.
