The 6th edition of the Latino-Hub Rheinlands will take place on 1st December in Cologne, with the participation of the CFO of Imperial Shipping Holding GmbH as keynote speaker. Among the panel participants is the Ambassador of Colombia, the Ambassador of Uruguay and the Ambassador of Argentina.

The Rhineland is a Western area of Germany close to the River Rhine. Among the most important cities in this area are Dusseldorf, Aachen, Bonn and Cologne. In Cologne, the sixth conference of the so-called Latino-Hub Rheinlands will take place.

The Rhineland is also famous for its organizations, firms and startups which deal with Latin America.  For this reason, the association ‘Förderverein Städtepartnerschaft Rio de Janeiro – Köln e.V.’ has been created. With this partnership, the two countries, or better, the two cities, aim to strengthen their bilateral relations.

In view of the twinning between Rio de Janeiro and Cologne, the ‘Förderverein Städtepartnerschaft Rio de Janeiro – Köln e.V.’, together with the city of Cologne, would like to bring together the most important agents in the together area with Rio to celebrate the Latino-Hub Rheinlands. This event aims to intensify economic, social and cultural relations between Latin America and the Rhineland. This is the main reason why the ‘Förderverein Städtepartnerschaft Rio de Janeiro – Köln e.V.’ has been supporting the Latino-Hub Rheinlands since its foundation in 2011.

The 6th edition of the Latino-Hub Rheinlands will take place on 1st December in Cologne. The topic of this event will be inland ports and waterways of the Rhineland, which can be a model for cooperation with Latin America. Other topics which will be faced are the organization and finance of these waterways and inland ports and their dredging; the infrastructural connections by rail and road; and how the ports in the Rhineland and Westphalia may be compared to the Latin American environmentally friendly transportation.

The event will be attended by the CFO of the Imperial Shipping Holding GmbH, Jens Kleiner, as well as by the Ambassador of Colombia, Maria Lorena Gutierrez Botero, the Ambassador of Uruguay, Alberto Guani, and the Ambassador of Argentina, Luis Maria Kreckler.
