Rashed Al Balooshi

Biography

Rashed Al Baloushi is the Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). He has held this position since March 2012.

Prior to this he served as Director of Clearance, Settlement and Depository Department at ADX. He joined ADX in 2000 where he played an instrumental role in the establishment of the market in November 2000. He also served as the Deputy Chief Executive at ADX since 2007 and has made huge contributions to the strategy of ADX, through measures which have helped to create a more robust establishment.

Prior to his career at ADX he served as the Head of Registrar and Depository at the Abu Dhabi Free Zone Authority from October 1997 to April 2000. He is an experienced finance professional and is widely seen as an industry trendsetter.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Benedict College, Columbia, South Carolina and an MBA from the United Arab Emirates University.
