Alessandro Pansa

Biography

Alessandro Pansa was the CEO of Finmeccanica from 2013 to 2014 after a distinguished career within the company as well as a variety of other companies.

Academic Career

Alessandro Pansa obtained a degree in Political Economy at Bocconi University in Milan. He then went on to study at the Business Administration Graduate School at New York University before beginning his career at Credito Italiano SpA and Euromobiliare SpA.

Career

After his time at Euromobiliare SpA he became a Senior Partner at Vitale Borghesi & Co. He went on to work as Managing Director and partner of Lazard. He joined Finmeccanica in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer. In 2004 he was appointed General Manager and in 2011 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer. In February 2013 he was appointed as CEO of the company. He held this position until May 2014. Alessandro Pansa is currently a board member of Feltrinelli Editore SpA and the Italian SpA Strategic Fund. He is also a member of the Council for Relations between Italy and the USA and the Aspen Institute.
