Biography
Mr Fadi Khalaf is the Secretary General of the Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE), a position he has held since 2009.
Academic Career
Mr Fadi obtained his Masters degree in Business and commercial sciences from Saint Joseph University in 1985. He then attended a Master program with a major in “Business management” in 1987 at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik. Mr Fadi obtained in 1993 a Ph.D. in Economical Sciences (International Finance) from University Pantheon-Sorbonne in Paris, with distinction and congratulations of the jury. His dissertation was nominated by the Sorbonne for the prize of the Best thesis of the year 1993.
Career
Fadi Khalaf was the financial adviser of the FADDOUL group (France), which has 48 companies in Europe and Africa, from 1994 to 1999. In 1995, Mr Fadi obtained a Diploma of Technical adviser in analysis over the financial markets of the French association of the Technical Analysts- AFATE. Fadi Khalaf was a lecturer at the CEPREMAP (Economic research center, Paris), and still serves as lecturer and member of the French Association of the Technical Analysts. Mr Fadi has also worked in the treasury and credit fields at the Bank of Beirut (Lebanon). From 1999 to 2009 Mr Fadi Khalaf was President of the Beirut Stock Exchange.
