Biography

Ambassador Dilshod Khamidovich Akhatov is the ambassadorial representative for Uzbekistan in Berlin. Born in 1972, he studied and graduated in the field of International Relations. Fluent in Russian, German and English, Ambassador Akhatov has participated in various diplomacy programs in Germany, Korea and Japan.

In 1999 he began a four year service as the Foreign and Security Policy specialist at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Germany. In 2007 he was appointed head of the Section for Cooperation with European States at the Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry. Leaving in 2010, he then became Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan in Berlin and more recently, has attended conferences at the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy as a symposium speaker.
